BLACK LIVES MATTER

It is indisputable that the burden of environmental violence falls disproportionately on Black people and other people of color. Apathy toward their destruction is violence. The roots of that disproportionate impact are laid bare in the painful events of the last few years and beyond. This violence toward Black people — these systemic inequities — are born out of a broken system. Without justice for Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and countless other victims of anti-Black violence, there can be no hope of lasting justice in any form. We condemn the continued brutal treatment of protestors by law enforcement in our hometown and across the nation.

DCEFF commits to rigorously examine our practices and work to be an anti-racist organization across all aspects of our operations and our programming.
