Eleanor Mortimer

Eleanor is a filmmaker living in London. She is one third of documentary production company Glow in the Dark Films.
Her first film The Price of Freedom (2012) won best web documentary at the International Association of Women in TV Awards, 2013. Eleanor went on to do an MA in Directing Documentary at the National Film & Television School, UK, where she made three shorts, includingTerritory (2015), which won the Oscar-qualifying best short documentary award at Hot Docs and screened at over thirty festivals, including Sundance, True/False, Edinburgh International Film Festival & Cinema du Reel.
She is currently researching all things microscopic, alongside developing Seafarers (in collaboration with Just So Films) and Mobile, a series of shorts following two refugees and their correspondences with home. She also regularly makes creative documentaries for museums, agencies and theChannel 4 News Film Fund. She loves to watch out of windows, drink tea, and wonder what her Siamese fighting fish Max thinks about all day.
