Jeff Horowitz

Jeff is an environmental activist and a television and movie producer specializing in stories about climate change. He was is a co- producer of the Emmy Award winning “Years of Living Dangerously” docu-series for Showtime. He is currently working on stories for Season 2, to be broadcast on National Geographic this year.
Jeff was an executive producer for “Time to Choose,” Academy Award-winning Charles Ferguson’s climate change solutions documentary. Jeff recently directed and produced “Stop the Burning,” a short environmental film narrated by Dr. Jane Goodall, which debuted at the 2015 Paris climate summit.
Jeff founded Avoided Deforestation Partners, a global network of prominent individuals dedicated to advancing U.S. and international climate policies, with particular focus on ending deforestation.
When not working on climate issues, Jeff and his wife Lynn own and operate Rio Lago, a Sonoma County vineyard in the Alexander Valley that specializes in growing high-end cabernet wine grapes.
