Holly Morris is the writer/director/creator of the award-winning 8-part nationally broadcast PBS documentary series about women around the world, ‘Adventure Divas.’ Documentaries in this series include: Iran: Behind Closed Chadors; Cuba: Pardox Found; India: Holy Cow and New Zealand: Stroppy Sheilas & Mana Wahines. Morris is the author of Adventure Divas: Searching the Globe for a New Kind of Heroine (Random House), a New York Times Editor’s Choice book. She’s also a longtime correspondent/traveler for the Globe Trekker series (PBS-U.S., Discovery-International). Her award-winning journalism “A Country of Women” – on which The Babushkas of Chernobyl is based, was published in MORE magazine, London’s Daily Telegraph and The Week, and won Meredith’s Editorial Excellence Award. The women of Chernobyl is also the subject of her popular TED Talk, recorded at TEDGlobal in Scotland.
