Ann Phillips

Retired Rear Admiral Ann Phillips is an independent consultant who has served in every warfare group of the Surface Navy: Destroyers, Carriers, Amphibious and Replenishment ships.  She commanded USS MUSTIN (DDG 89), Destroyer Squadron TWO EIGHT and Expeditionary Strike Group TWO. Drawn to environmental resiliency, from October 2014 to June 2016 she chaired the Infrastructure Working Group for the Old Dominion University-convened Hampton Roads Sea Level Rise Preparedness and Resilience Intergovernmental Pilot Planning Project, working to develop a collaborative, whole of government and community approach to address the impact of sea level rise across Hampton Roads.  A native of Tidewater Maryland, she spends her spare time on an evolving wetlands restoration project in her Norfolk, Virginia neighborhood.
