Guess what, Film Fans? For the first time in its 25 year history, the Environmental Film Festival is expanding beyond the nation’s capital and hitting the road for a special On Tour showcase in Boston, Massachusetts!
From September 28-29, the two-day event, presented by Bank of America, will be hosted at Kendall Square Cinema, as a part of HUBweek, a creative festival that celebrates innovation at the intersection of art, science, and technology. Four exceptional environmental films will be screened, each followed by a discussion with filmmakers, scientists and experts.
The films included in the showcase will be Boston premieres and cover a range of topics, from climate change science to the dark side of technology and much more. Among the two films selected from the 2016 Festival is Ice and the Sky, by Academy Award-winning director, Luc Jacquet. We’ll also be showing a couple of new Festival picks, like Sue Williams‘ Death By Design, which uncovers the true cost of our digital dependency on devices designed to expire.
