Dr. Brian Hunt

Dr. Brian Hunt, a member of the expedition featured in License to Krill, is a biological oceanographer with an interest in the impact of natural and anthropogenic impacts on pelagic marine ecosystems. His research focuses on the plankton that form the base of the oceanic food webs, and how they, and the broader systems that rely on them, respond to environmental perturbations. Dr. Hunt received his PhD at the University of Tasmania, and currently serves as a Research Associate at the University of British Columbia and the Hakai Institute. His research has spanned the Antarctic, Arctic, Mediterranean, the south and north Pacific, and the high seas to coastal realms.
