Around the globe, there is a massive commercial rush for farmland – the new green gold. One of the most profitable new spots for farming is Ethiopia.

Dead Donkeys Fear No Hyenas investigates land grabbing and its impact on people’s lives. Pursuing the truth, we meet investors, development bureaucrats, persecuted journalists, struggling environmentalists and evicted farmers deprived of their land.

Directed by Joakim Demmer. Produced by Margarete Jangård, WG Film.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion From 9:30 – 10:15pm, featuring Dr. Anuradha Mittal, Executive Director of Oakland Institute, and  Sasha Chavkin, a reporter for the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).  Dr. Ararya Amsalu, will moderate.
