Will the local food movement be able to feed us all? Take a look at the current state of the meat industry in the United States. Beginning with a history of our industrial food system, the feedlots and confinement operations are unveiled through the stories of the farmers who live and work there. From there, this solutions-oriented documentary introduces the revolution taking root in animal husbandry led by the passionate Joel Salatin of Virginia’s Polyface Farms, who has developed an alternative agricultural model based on rotational grazing and local distribution. Nationwide, a local food movement of farmers, chefs and everyday people has taken root. Directed and produced by Graham Meriwether.
