Jeff and Sue Turner are a Canadian husband and wife team based in British Columbia that have been making wildlife documentary films for the past 32 years. They have directed, shot, written and/or produced more than 30 documentary films for the BBC, CBC, PBS, Discovery and Animal Planet Channels in settings throughout the world. They have won numerous awards for their work and their films have been seen around the world in more than 50 countries. In 1991 Jeff and Sue started working at the BBC Natural History Unit as freelance producers and cinematographers (and later independent producers) on such programs as The Natural World, Planet Earth, Frozen Planet and Nature’s Great Events. Since 2006 they have begun working again with the CBC on the documentary series The Nature of Things. In 2014 they completed a major wildlife television series for the CBC, BBC Earth and Terra Mater called Wild Canada. They are currently working on a follow up series called Wild Canadian Year for the CBC to be released in 2017 for the 150th anniversary of Canada.
